BioOnce upon a time, there was a little homunculus named Envy. Envy was a shapeshifter, and could take any physical form he wanted, no matter how different or strange. He was taught to believe that anything he saw, he could become better than, so that they'd be jealous of Envy.
Now little Envy had an older brother that he loved dearly and tried to emulate in every way. That older brother was called Greed, and he lived up to his name. Greed wanted everything the world had to offer, and what better way to achieve that than having somebody who could become anything he asked for? So Greed loved Envy, and Envy loved Greed, and all was happy and sunshine rainbows for the siblings.
...But one day, Greed decided he wanted even more than what he had. Envy's mimicry didn't satisfy him anymore, so he set out to find the real thing... and left Envy behind. But he didn't want to burn all his bridges -- or maybe he was just too greedy and didn't want anyone else claiming what was his -- so he promised Envy that he'd come back someday to see what he'd learned.
So Envy waited. And waited. And passed the time by learning more tricks like the ones his brother had taught him, and wondering when he was coming home.
Then one day, Envy stumbled across the Nexus...
